Sackboy: A Big Adventure retains the papercraft and cloth stitch art style the LittleBigPlanet series is known for but continues to build on it by fully using its new third dimension. The camera is much more dynamic to the gameplay, switching the games perspective (and gameplay style) to what the level requires. One second the game is a 3D platformer, then turns into a topdown shooter viewpoint, then back to its 2.5D roots. The game knows not to take itself seriously and embraces the weird and otherworldly tone it sets. The shining gem of Sackboy: A Big Adventure is the Music stages. Levels 70, 82, 93 repeat again for old players as one-shot levels in later stages of Homescapes.In these levels, every enemy, platform, action, and camera all follow the beat of the music playing.Level 70 is featured in the Double Planes tutorial. Button, bow tie, or teapot level goals are now only lamp, book or cup ones.It also introduces combos, which later appear as a level goal in level 1506. Level 6 is the first level to have a moves redundancy.
